We here at Savvy Keto are always looking for ways to incorporate everyday foods into the keto lifestyle.The good news is: Crack Chicken is already pretty dang keto-friendly! Keto Crack Chicken is a version version that’s super tight on carbs, high in fat, and still ridiculously tasty. In our house it’s a favorite for several reasons:

  • It’s great in this basic recipe, but it is oh, so easy to dress up and make some pretty special crack chicken dishes.
  • It’s DELICIOUS!!
  • It’s SUPER Easy to make in a slow cooker or instant pot.

So let’s get into it. 🔥

🧀 Keto Crack Chicken Recipe (Low-Carb & Gluten-Free)

Ingredients (100% Keto-Approved)

Salt & pepper to taste

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (thighs = more fat, more flavor)

1 (1 oz) packet of keto-friendly ranch seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade – recipe below!)

8 oz full-fat cream cheese (don’t skimp with low-fat nonsense 😆)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

6–8 slices of sugar-free bacon, cooked and crumbled

2–3 green onions, sliced (optional but tasty)


🧂 Homemade Keto Ranch Seasoning (No hidden carbs):

Mix and store:

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp crushed black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried chives
  • ½ tsp sea salt
    💡 Bonus: Make a big batch and keep it in a jar for future crack attacks!

Instructions

🕒 Slow Cooker Keto Crack Chicken:

  1. Add chicken to your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle homemade ranch seasoning on top.
  3. Top with cubed cream cheese.
  4. Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
  5. Shred chicken with forks.
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar, bacon, and green onions.
  7. Let it melt together for 5–10 mins, then serve with keto joy in your heart.

⚡ Instant Pot Method:

  1. Stir in cheddar, bacon, and green onions. Let it warm and melt together.
  2. Place chicken and ½ cup chicken broth in the pot.
  3. Add ranch seasoning and cream cheese.
  4. Pressure cook on High for 15 minutes, then quick release.
  5. Shred chicken.

🥑 Keto Serving Ideas:

On a bed of spinach or arugula (add avocado = heavenly)

Over cauliflower rice or roasted veggies

Stuffed inside a bell pepper, then baked

Lettuce wraps or keto tortillas

Straight outta the pot with a spoon (no judgment) 😄
