The Smith County Medical Society is hosting a “Cook With a Doc” event from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Integrative Health Matters, 419 WSW Loop 323 #400.

Neurologist Gina Jetter of Northeast Texas Neurology Associates will be in the kitchen teaching how to prepare a keto/low carb cashew chicken. She also will discuss the ketogenic diet in the treatment of epilepsy.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
